Incumbent Liberal Hansher and Conservative Jeffrey Krane advance in District 24 primary for Ozaukee County Board
MEQUON — Incumbent Supervisor Jeffrey Hansher and challenger James Krane advanced Tuesday from a three-candidate primary for the District 24 seat on the Ozaukee County Board.
With two of two precincts reporting, Hansher received 198 votes, or 69.2 percent of the 286 ballots cast. Krane earned 56 votes, or 19.6 percent. Mike Basso finished third with 32 votes, or 11.2 percent, and will not appear on the April general election ballot.

Hansher was endorsed by the Democratic Party of Ozaukee County. Krane received the endorsement of the Republican Party of Ozaukee County in the lead up to Tuesday's primary election.

The April general election will determine who represents District 24 on the County Board. The seat is expected to be closely watched, as it could play a role in whether conservatives maintain control of the Ozaukee County Board, or see further losses to liberal challengers.
