Ozaukee Republicans Submit Voter Guide with Slates
Republicans Release Spring Voter Guide for April Election
With the April election approaching, the Republican Party of Ozaukee County (RPOC) has released its 2026 Spring Voter Guide, offering voters a snapshot of the candidates it is supporting across a range of local races.
The guide comes as early voting gets underway on March 24, with Election Day set for April 7. It covers everything from the Wisconsin Supreme Court race down to local boards and councils, aiming to give voters a simple reference as they head to the polls.
At the top of the ticket, the RPOC is backing Judge Maria Lazar for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Closer to home, the guide includes several endorsements for the Ozaukee County Board, including Mark Harris in the Town of Grafton, Pat Murray in the Village of Grafton, Amy Elleson Bastar in Cedarburg, Dan Eastman in Mequon, and James Krane, also in Mequon. In one Mequon-area race, District 21, the party noted support for both candidates.
The party also weighed in on local municipal races. In the Village of Grafton trustee race, the RPOC is recommending Danielle Autotte, Luke Spykstra, and Russell MacRae.
School board races are also included, with Jake Hebda and Brady Brown receiving the party’s support for the Cedarburg School Board.
Additional endorsements include Tom Grabow and Tom Sykora for the Town of Grafton Board, and Mark Mueller for Cedarburg’s Common Council.
Spring elections in Wisconsin tend to fly under the radar compared to the fall, but they often have a direct impact on local issues like development, schools, and day-to-day government decisions. With several contested races on the ballot this year, turnout could play a significant role in shaping the outcome.
The RPOC’s guide is one of several resources voters may use as they make their decisions ahead of April 7.
